The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra - known to its friends as LACO - is one of the most celebrated and beloved chamber orchestras in the country and truly a treasure of LA County. And what’s more — they’ve got an upcoming program that they’re so eager to share with our community, they’re giving us two chances - March 28th and March 29th - to join them for a Night Out.

The concerto starts with Maurice Ravel’s explosive, joyous, and jazzy Piano Concerto in G major - a classic early 20th century fusion of forms - with the young Russian virtuoso of the piano Denis Kozhukhin leading the band.

It’s followed by Richard Strauss’s sublime tone-poem Le bourgeois gentilhomme - which tells a story with the most charming and inspired music.

The finale of the concert is a world premier by LACO’s composer-in-residence, Juan Pablo Contreras, a 33 year old rising star from Mexico, who blends a classical sensibility with popular and folk sounds from his homeland. The piece is called Lucha Libre! - a Sinfonia Concertante for Chamber Orchestra.

So much sound and splendor typically runs $60 a ticket — but we’ve got a stack on each night for only $20! Supplies are limited though, so make your move:

Saturday Night, March 28th in Glendale

or

Sunday Night, March 29th in Westwood

Have an amazing Night Out!
