When we talk about institutions as venerable, as culturally profound, as preeminent as The New York Philharmonic, we’re not just speaking of one of the greatest current-day deliverers of the orchestral repertoire; we’re talking about an institution that is inextricably bound to the orchestral repertoire itself — a monument of history as well as a contemporary and dynamic performing arts ensemble. And so, when they invite us along for a Night Out with Gustav Mahler, it’s more than just an evening of staggeringly powerful music — it’s truly a part of a larger history.

Gustav Mahler — the most celebrated symphonic composer of the 20th Century — actually conducted the New York Philharmonic in the early years of the last century. He rode the NYC subway. For a brief spell, he was of this city just like we are.

So as the modern New York Philharmonic unleashes a torrent of his genius, with his Songs of a Wayfarer and his first symphony, "The Titan”, feel into that larger story - all the many strands that have taken Mahler's astonishing accomplishments right up into our present moment - as the man’s genius takes your breath away. There is nothing in this whole world quite like a Mahler symphony.

What's more: This night, the Phil is going above and beyond to really get into Mahler's grooves -- when the concert is done, there'll be a for-real after-party with drinks and play and vibes a-plenty, and the Phil wants you in that scene!

Tickets average $50, but our wonderful friends at the Phil have made a big stack available to our crowd for only $25 — fully half off! But these will FLY, so make your move!

Have a great Night Out!
