This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

I am excited to host my first Groupmuse for an old friend of mine from New York, Charles Mokotoff. Charles currently lives in Maryland and this is his first stop of a nationwide tour. He has performed classical guitar nationally, including Carnegie Hall. I have not had the pleasure of hearing him live ( since high school!) but I avidly watch his Youtube recordings and I am always stunned by how beautiful they are. I look forward to opening my house for him to share his talent with my friends, acquaintances and other music lovers. I live in a big old Capitol Hill house with my husband and elderly dog. Due to the intimate nature of Charles's music, this would not be appropriate for children under 16. We will have floor sitting, and some chairs available. We have hardwood floors , so you may want to bring a pillow or stadium seat if you want to sit on the floor.

What's the music?

Bach Prelude, Irish Songs and Harp solos arranged for guitar, Children's Cradle by Sergio Assad (includes the Morning Rag), Latin American favorites by Reis and Cardoso, Spanish music by Rodrigo. (All accessible and popular music for solo guitar).
