Thank you all so much for listening , you were a fantastic audience! We apologize again for the technical difficulties and thank you for your patience through all of it. Despite that we had a fantastic evening and hope you did as well! If you would like to hear us again join us for our final concert of our summer season this Thursday at 7:30! (hopefully with no technical difficulties and our usual full camera set-up). We can be followed on facebook, instragram, and all our events can also be found on our website www.kalliopereedquintet.com/events

I'm particularly excited for our final concert of the season, featuring our first program of entirely original reed quintets! In addition to Amaru, which you heard tonight, we will be performing Zach Gulaboff Davis's "Divergences", Ton ter Doest's "Circusmuziek", Becky Turro's "Thaw" (a beautiful work musically depicting the seasonal thawing Acadia National Park), and the world premiere of "Suite for Reed Quintet" by Boston-based composer Ian Wiese! We hope you're able to join us for an exciting evening of works by all living composers, many of whom should be listening and available for questions! Hi everyone! The amazing performers of the Kalliope Reed Quintet wanted to share a link to a performance of the Poulenc (first piece on the program) that was missing from the YouTube Livestream due to technical difficulties. You can hear that piece at 11:48 via this video:
