  • (New York Time: Concert begins at 2.30 P.M.) A special program from a special place in Rome: the Museum Wunderkammer "Artificialia". The Wunderkammer (Wonder-rooms) were the Renaissance collection rooms of monarchs, princes, aristocrats, scientists and artists in which all kinds of precious objects of interest were gathered and displayed. Modern museums were born from these original treasuries and compilations. In the Museum "Artificialia" Marco recreated in modern style a Wunderkammer of the past containing: ▼▼ Artificialia: Man-made works of art ▼▼ Naturalia: Objects from the three kingdoms (mineral, vegetable, animal) ▼▼ Scientifica: Scientific instruments ▼▼ Exotica: Exotic objects from distant lands Marco has recreated in his home an authentic Wunderkammer museum consisting of an entrance and corridor in the style of the "Cabinet of Curiosites"; a Neo-Gothic space befor the corridor; the organ room (medieval chamber of the lions); the piano room ( wonders room). For people passing through Rome it is possible to visit the museum by appointment and book for the evening concerts on Saturday and Sunday. https://www.wunderkammer-roma.com

Program includes Romantic music (Liszt and Shumann), American music (Lennie Tristano and Chick Corea) and a musical Poem from "Lord of the Rings" by Tolkien composed by Marco Lo Muscio.
Piano played for the concert is a German/Italian Schulze & Pollmann (1930 ca.)
In the program there is a beautiful connection between Tristano's compositon and Schumann's!
Tristano's Requiem is dedicated to the memory of Charlie Parker whose nickname was "Bird". Tristano mentions the theme of Schumann's "Prophet Bird" in the Intro of his Requiem so an invisible thread joins the two masterpieces!

Join me in this special evening...
