Host
Thrilled to perform and host violinist Sophia Stoyanovich and hornist Phillip Palmore for this special musical matinee! The program: two of our most beloved works of Schubert (A major Violin Sonata) and Brahms (Horn Trio), with a generous dash of violin virtuosity in works of Ysaÿe and Waxman (an extravagant Carmen fantasy!). Come for high spirits and great music!
What's the music?
Schubert: Violin Sonata in A major, D. 574
Ysaÿe: Sonata no. 3 in D minor, “Ballade,” for solo violin
Waxman: Carmen Fantasy
Brahms: Trio for Violin, Horn, and Piano, op. 40
