So I wanted to try and see if there wasn't a demand for people to attend a concert, but rather be able to perform for other performers if it would help me to figure out who, in the tri-state area, would be willing to come out around my house to just do a concert. I think, knowing myself, if someone said, "Hey! Would you be willing to show up and play anything for a crowd of people that appreciate and perform music for a living" rather than "Hey! Do you want to sit on your butt and gaze in adoration at some strangers play 19th century art music you at best breezily know?" it might dredge up a few more great players that heretofore didn't feel like they were being encourage to turn my house into the music venue I know it deserves to be for everyone's sakes. I won't be able to get the people that demand $1000 every time they show up, but I bet there's a few good pianists, cellists, flutists, and violinists that show up to play WITHOUT there being a federal grant for their appearance. Feel free to show up if you like listening to music, too, of course.
