 o be quite an experience - soothing\, intoxicating sounds of a stellar str
 ing quartet while enjoying a sip of favorite beverage and company of like-
 minded spirits. We’ve hosted so many of these events so far\, and they a
 ll turn out a very fulfilling experience for everyone. \n\nSo\, come join!
 \n\n\nFrom the ensemble: \n\nWoodworks Paired with a Selection of Folk Tun
 es\n\nJoin us for an early evening concert exploring the roots of the Dani
 sh \nString Quartet's local music tradition of Nordic folk music. Drawing 
 from a \nsimilar inspiration to Wood Works\, Mark O'Connor's Applachia Wal
 tz utilizes \nmusical influences from Scandinavian and Appalachian folk fi
 ddling crafted \nin a classical music setting. We begin our program with o
 ther genres of \nfolk music that are unique and may reflect a different\, 
 simpler time. We \nexplore the works of pioneer Black American female comp
 oser Florence \nPrice's miniature essays in counterpoint based off negro s
 pirtuals. Also \nfeatured are five of Komitas Vartabed's Armenian dances. 
 These melodies \nwere collected from rural villages and act as a musical l
 ink between \nfamilies of the Armenian diaspora and their home country. \n
