Where does this music come from?

Our program is a mix of jazz standards, musical theater, traditional Italian songs and a Georgian love song. Below are the bios of our lovely musicians performing for you.

Musician Bios:
Lili Marrella (also known as Lika Labadze) is an actress, singer, dancer, and television anchor. Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, Lili is of Ukrainian descent and holds dual American and Italian citizenship.
Ten years ago, Lili relocated to New York, where she pursued her passion for the performing arts at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, graduating from its acting program. Her love for performance, however, began much earlier in her childhood, when she participated in stage and television productions from a young age.

A professional ballet dancer, Lili has performed a repertoire spanning classical masterpieces such as Swan Lake to contemporary works like George Balanchine and Jiří Kylián. She toured to world-renowned venues, including BAM in New York and the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, as well as international festivals like the Edinburgh Theater Festival, Jacob’s Pillow, and the Spoleto Festivals.

Lili’s talents extend beyond the stage. She made a mark in television by winning the first season of Dancing with the Stars in Georgia and later returned to host its third season. Her media career also includes hosting several seasons of a popular live morning show (TV Imedi) in Georgia. She has appeared in numerous television commercials, editorials, and films, further showcasing her versatility.

Beyond the arts, Lili has pursued academic excellence. She graduated with a degree in Public Relations and Journalism and most recently earned a degree in Political Science from Columbia University’s School of General Studies, where she served as a senior marshal and was frequently recognized on the Dean’s List for her outstanding GPA.

With her diverse background spanning performance, media, and academia, Lili Marrella exemplifies a multifaceted individual driven by a passion for excellence—whether on stage, on screen, or in her advocacy for human rights.

Doohyun Yoon, a tenor whose artistry bridges continents and traditions, has been celebrated for his expressive interpretations and captivating stage presence. From the grandeur of the Regina and Hudson Opera stages in New York to the cultural halls of South Korea, Yoon has brought life to roles such as Arturo and Normano in Lucia di Lammermoor and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. His journey has also included performances as Basilio in The Marriage of Figaro and Rodolfo in La Bohème, where his voice has resonated with depth and authenticity.
Yoon's passion for vocal excellence has led him to work closely with luminaries like Michael Fabiano and to refine his craft in renowned programs with Classic Lyric Arts. His education spans across some of the world’s finest institutions, including Montclair State University, the Manhattan School of Music, and the New England Conservatory, complemented by a Bachelor of Music from Kyunghee University.
In every performance, Yoon seeks to embody not just the music but the emotional landscapes it conveys, inviting audiences to experience familiar works anew. As he continues to explore the rich tapestry of operatic repertoire, Yoon remains committed to a lifelong pursuit of artistic growth and meaningful storytelling.
