 🥁 \n\nThe Alfredo Colón Trio is a fearless and electrifying ensemble t
 hat explores the raw intersections of improvisation\, tradition\, and futu
 re-facing sound. Led by Alfredo Colón\, a Dominican-American saxophonist 
 and composer praised for his **“molten expressiveness and poetic urgency
 ”** (Roulette Intermedium)\, the trio draws from avant-garde jazz\, spir
 itual minimalism\, and deeply rooted Caribbean influences. \n\nJoining Col
 ón are two potent voices in creative music:\n\n🎻 **Steve Williams** is
  a musician\, composer\, and interdisciplinary researcher based in Brookly
 n\, New York. Steve’s work draws on his extensive experience as a perfor
 mer and his anthropological background\, combining experiments in ethnogra
 phy and composition to create music that explores the possibilities of rhy
 thmic intricacy while capturing wonder\, texture\, and humor. Deftly shift
 ing among chamber ensembles\, free improvisation\, and re-imaginings of Ja
 zz history through the music of SpongeBob SquarePants\, Steve draws on a w
 ide variety of musical traditions\, internet subcultures\, lived experienc
 e\, and collaborations. Steve graduated with a BFA in Jazz Performance and
  a BA and MA in Anthropology. \n\n🥁 **Alex Yoo** is a Korean-American d
 rummer and musician from New York City\, known for his dynamic and versati
 le artistry. Born and raised in Bayside\, Queens\, Alex began playing the 
 drums at age 7 through his mother’s music school. He graduated from Fior
 ello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts in 2018
  and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the New En
 gland Conservatory of Music in Boston\, MA. He studied drums with the grea
 t Billy Hart and Nasheet Waits\, and studied improvisation/composition wit
 h Jason Moran\, Melissa Aldana\, Jason Palmer and Henrique Eisenmann.\n\n\
