 o trio based here in San Francisco composed of three SF natives and gradua
 tes of the SF Conservatory. Sixth Station Trio debuted at San Francisco's 
 historic Grace Cathedral in May of 2023 to a sold-out concert of 1000 peop
 le\, featuring "atmospheric" music from the films of Japan's Studio Ghibli
 . (Think Oscar-winning Spirited Away (2001)\, the beloved My Neighbor Toto
 ro (1988)\, and the visually stunning Howl's Moving Castle.) This catapult
 ed them into already becoming one of the most successful trios of their ge
 neration\, dedicated to blending their classical backgrounds with their pa
 ssion for video game and pop music. \n\nKatelyn Tan\, Piano\; Anju Goto\,

 o pieces) - Astor Piazzolla \nMadness - Joe Hisaishi\; from the anime film

 ng Chen\nRapid as Wildfires - Yu Peng Chen\n\nThe last 3 pieces are writte
 n for the popular video game Genshin Impact! They are orchestral works wri
 tten with classical technique by contemporary composers.\n\nIn addition to
  their Grace Cathedral performance\, locally they have been guest artists 
 at  Old First Concerts\, the Asian Art Museum and  SF Japantown's annual N
 orCal Cherry Blossom Festival. In October of 2025\, they toured to perform
  a sold-out concert at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC!\n\nSix
 th Station is a reference from the classic anime film Spirited Away.  It i
 s interpreted as "in-between" space representing personal growth and the j
 ourney being more important than the destination.  Sixth Station Piano Tri
 o exemplifies this in the wide variety of music they perform including tra
 ditional classical\, film score\, video game\, contemporary classical\, an
 d pop.
