 xtremely talented and accomplished classical guitarists will be playing at
  this concert!\n\nKOH KAZAMA is a concert guitarist and educator exposing 
 audiences to the endless possibilities of the classical guitar. His diver
 se repertoire ranges from early music played on period instruments to cont
 emporary music using electronic effects. He has been invited to perform in
  renowned venues\, festivals\, and concert series\, including Carnegie Hal
 l\, Miami International GuitART Festival\, Killington Music Festival\, Lon
 g Island Guitar Festival\, and WNYC New Sounds Live series. He has also pr
 emiered works by a wide range of prominent composers\, including Michael W
 hite\, David Lang\, Paula Matthusen\, and Kendall Williams. Dr. Kazama hol
 ds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University and a Bache
 lor of Arts in psychology\, Master of Music\, and Artist Diploma from Yale
  University. He has served on the faculty at New World School of the Arts\
 , a partner of Miami Dade College\, University of Florida\, and Dade Count
 y Public Schools in Miami.\n\nCHARLES MOKOTOFF holds Bachelors and Masters
  degrees in guitar performance from Syracuse University and Ithaca College
 \, respectively. He has served on the faculties of numerous colleges and u
 niversities in New York and the New England area as a lecturer in classica
 l guitar and lute.\n\nPrior to settling in the Washington\, DC area in 199
 1\, Mr. Mokotoff made his home in New England where he was widely recogniz
 ed as an active guitarist and lutenist. During that period his career culm
 inated with two Far East tours and a well-received New York City debut at 
 Carnegie Hall in 1987. Solo and ensemble recitals over the past few season
 s have centered around the Mid-Atlantic states\, but include performances 
 in Chicago\, Boston\, and most recently two performances at the Lincoln Ce
 nter Performing Arts Library in New York City.\n\nClassical Guitar Magazin
 e (U.K.) has called his playing\, “truly monumental” as well as “eng
 aging and rhapsodic”. ClassicalGuitarMusic.org has written that his play
 ing shows “a mix of strong tone\, pianistic at times\, but also capable 
 of beautiful legato phrasing and a natural feel for forward movement." Ear
 lier in his career\, Mr. Mokotoff was described by the New York Times as 
 “exceptional among debutantes...a thoughtful\, gentlemanly artist\, tech
 nically fastidious and able to coax a range of sounds from his instrument.
