Join us in Gold Coast for a farewell to fall and some top tier musical talent. Mind-altering drinks are welcome but let's keep it classy so leave the Fireball at home. My place is accessible by el (quarter mile from Sedgwick brown/purple line or Division red line), 156/151/22/36 buses, helicopter pad, and valet parking is available ($35/day so something less than that for 0-4 hours).
Stop by around 6:00 for drinks and good conversation! Music will begin at 7:00, so please come before then. The doorman will let you up.
What's the music?
New Comma Baroque's Phillip Serna will present a concert of inspiring and thoughtful music written for Viol, a fretted string-instrument popular in Europe from the 15th through 18th centuries. The recital will feature works for the Viol, both old and new, by Carl Friedrich Abel, Johann Sebastian Bach, Martha Bishop, Monsieur de Sainte-Colombe, Le Sieur Dubuisson, Rudolph Dolmetsch and Georg Philipp Telemann.
