This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

Welcome to the first meeting of JP Rhythm & Muse, the Groupmuse community circle in Jamaica Plain, hosted by the infamous Curry House! To delight your ears we're hosting an evening of early English music by Hume, Purcell, and Dowland on historical instruments with Emily Thorner (early voice), Ben Swartz (viola da gamba), and Steven Long (harmonium). Shape-note singing and/or string quartet sightreading party to follow (bring your fiddle).

Easy access from the 39 bus (stop: Perkins St) or the Orange line (stop: Stony Brook). Free street parking abounds.

BYOB - consumption warmly encouraged. "Good wine is a good familiar creature, if it be well used" (Othello 2.3)
