DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Groupmuse\nMusicians: Max Jacob\, Celia Hatton\, Grac
 e Ho\, Katherine Liccardo\, Tina Bouey\, Brendan Speltz\, Colin Brookes\,
Brian Hong\, Tony Bracewell\, Michael Davis\, and Caleb Van der Swaagh\n\n
**Note:** This is not the typical massivemuse - this classical music immer
sion gives the audience opportunities to engage with the music and musicia
ns throughout the evening ... so expect something a little different. \n\n
Groupmuse and Pioneer Works have teamed up with Shattered Glass and the *C
horeographies for Survival* working group to create a social choreography
for the musicians and audience alike. **The goal of this event is to engag
e the senses in deep modes of observation\, using classical music as the m
 edium for expanding\, heightening\, and investigating one’s perceptive c
apacities and for improving one’s skill of listening.**\n\nWhen we liste
n closely to classical music\, when we give it all of our attention and fo
cus\, something special happens - the music can move us\, and in doing so\
, it changes us. We feel something for the first time\, we create a new as
sociation\, we build a new pathway in the mind. We experience something be
autiful. **But do you know how to listen closely to music?** Have you ever
tried experimenting with different modes of listening\, to see how it eff
ects what you're listening to? This is what we're going to find out on Apr
il 21st\, for an extremely unique massivemuse at the iconic Pioneer Works.
\n\n**Each person that attends will be given instructions for how to pract
ice different modes of listening\,** and will have the opportunity to embo
dy each mode of listening however one chooses\; this means that there will
likely be mass movement during the performance. \n\nDoors are at 7:00 PM\
, with the event starting promptly at 7:30 PM. Beer and wine will be avail
able by donation\, and we'll have the chance to debrief the experience and
hang out by the fire after it ends (around 9-9:30 PM). \n\nThis will be a
n interesting experience to say the least\, and we can't wait to share it
with you! Learn more about everyone involved in making this happen:\n\n**P
ioneer Works**: https://pioneerworks.org/\n**Shattered Glass**: A pioneeri
ng and democratically-governed conductorless string ensemble. (http://shat

Apocalypse\, which explore the connections between creative practice and
