 s surprise us with two shorter\, more modern trios.\n\nElbert Tsai\, violi
 nist:\n\nElbert Tsai leads a multifaceted career as virtuoso violinist and
  sought-after pedagogue. His recitals\, which often celebrate the short sh
 owpieces and gems of the instrument’s 450-year musical history\, have be
 en featured recently at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music\, Three Ri
 vers Performing Arts Institute\, YES Foundation for the Arts\, Throckmorto
 n Theatre\, Claremont College\, Le Petit Trianon Theatre\, and Colburn Sch
 ool for the Performing Arts. Previously as an orchestral violinist\, Elber
 t was a member of the San Francisco Ballet orchestra and San Francisco Sym
 phony\, touring with the symphony domestically and to Europe and Asia. Elb
 ert has taught violin and chamber music at Center Stage Strings\, the Luze
 rne Music Center\, San Francisco Conservatory of Music\, SFCM Pre-College 
 Division\, and the Crowden School. He holds degrees from University of Sou
 thern California\, Rice University\, and Oberlin College. For more informa
