 nMusicTalks brings jazz & classical music to an intimate and informal sett
 ing. Performed by the finest young musicians\, MusicTalks breaks down the 
 barriers between musicians and audience by taking advantage of the intimac
 y that chamber music provides. With engaging and interactive conversation\
 , the listener is given an experience that truly makes Music Talk.\n\nLear

 he most beloved and nostalgic jazz standards when MusicTalks returns with 
 award-winning jazz singer Thana Alexa and MusicTalks' Jazz Quartet. The ev
 ening\, featuring dazzling jazz standards and ballads\, will include speci
 al guest star Michael Mayo as he joins Ms. Alexa for some of the best know
 n flirtatious duets by jazz icons such as Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzger
 ald. The evening will culminate with a special spotlight on Bach’s music
  through the lens of Jazz.\n\nAs in every MusicTalks program the concert w
 ill offer introductions to the composers and their works\, musical demonst
 rations\, and fascinating anecdotes. \n\nWHAT'S A GROUPMUSE?\nGroupmuses a
 re something in between classical music concerts and house parties. They a
 re a chance to spend quality time with old and new friends and to lose you
 rself in a profound artistic experience.\n\nThis particular Groupmuse will
  be followed by electronic and disco versions of the music performed\, if 
 they can be located on vinyl. If not\, a digital download of William Orbit
 's EDM remix of Barber's Adagio for Strings will be played repeatedly for 
 three hours\, or until the last person leaves\, whichever comes first. If 
 four or more guests known to each other act inappropriately\, Laibach's in
 dustrial cover of The Beatles' Let It Be will be played in its entirety.\n
