What's the music?

Concetta Abbate Violin And Viola

This is a program that explores the variety of solo works for strings that have emerged out of the Western Music tradition. Performer/Composer/Educator Concetta Abbate will give the audience some background and detail for each musical piece of the program. Though the program varies greatly in style and musical era, a unifying narrative will emerge over the course of the evening. Concetta is excited to both explore and celebrate the language that has developed around the meditative and ambitious act solo string playing.
