Join us for an afternoon of almost-summer tunes that promise to brighten the season
My first groupmuse was at Silent Barn three years ago. Ive become slightly obsessed with their concept of bringing local musicians into our living rooms and connecting us more deeply to our community.
Co-hostess Danielle is a challah goddess; so, if you'd like to learn, come early to mix and knead and braid. Stay after to bake and slice and schmear.
Please bring -
- Brunch-time dish to share.
- A pillow if your bum gets sore sitting on the floor.
- Bring friends.
- Babies and pets welcome
Msg me if there are no more spots open and we'll squeeze you in!!!
What's the music?
For our program, we incorporate the new and old—we'll start our muse off with a piano transciprtion, which sounds absolutely beautiful on vibraphone. And then as we move on, we'll start to incorporate newer work into our program--the four of us will interweave the gorgeous "Postludes" by Elliot Cole into the program, and will be paired with the equally stunning "Morning Dove Sonnet". Afterwards, we depart from the vibraphone as Eric performs a piece for body gestures and electronics called "Aphasia". Then to wrap up, we'll spice things up with a Piazzolla encore--arranged for two vibraphones and hand percussion!
