The San Francisco Mint, known affectionately as The Granite Lady, is one of the few buildings to survive the great 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Built in 1874 to handle the newfound wealth of the California Gold Rush, its classical Greek-revival structure initially held 1/3 of the nation's gold reserves, turning $4M of gold bullion into coins in its first year.
Doors open at 4:30pm. Grab a happy hour drink at our bar and wander through the vaults of this historic building. Then join us in the courtyard at 6pm for an evening of incredible music with San Francisco's rising star concert pianist, Serene.
We'll be making things cozier with some nontraditional seating options in the courtyard. Help us out by bringing a picnic blanket or other seating if you can. Outside food is encouraged. The performance will move to an indoor ballroom in case of inclement weather.
