Music is magic -- it's gotta be. For reasons entirely unclear, this mysterious stuff makes us move and it makes us cry. It can make an hour stuck in rush hour traffic an experience of the highest order or doing the dishes and absolute jam. And all of this truth and presence without the benefit words.

The Witches get that -- they're a flute and violin/viola duo that blend old masterworks with the avant-garde and live improvisations to conjure immersive musical experiences that'll make you believe. And, we're pleased to add, they're fixing for a Massivemuse.

It's going down in Alexandria's beautiful new makers space called "The Garden." It's literally a minute from the Van Dorn Street stop on the Blue Line, and they'll be stocked with beer and food trucks.

The evening gets rolling with Mozart's perfect Flute Quartet in D Minor to get us warmed up with some sublime of old. The second half is when the Witches come out to play. We'll leave it at that for now.

Tickets are $20 and it's bring your own blanket or floor pillow or whatever your rear-end desires, because it'll be cold outside, but we're gonna get cozy.

What's the music?

Telemann Fantasies arr. by The Witches
-Mozart Flute Quartett in D major (3 movements)

Intermission~~

-Bach G minor sonata 1st movement- violin (Ledah)
-Improvisation
-Bach Bourrée Anglaise from Flute Partita (Louna)
-Ah by Louna Dekker-Vargas, arr. for the 5 musicians
