This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

It's so cool having live music in my home and Groupmuse opens a world of musicians and music lovers to me. I am pleased to host our next Groupmuse (no. 3) with classical saxophonist, Thomas Giles, who approached me with a cool idea for a program he is developing with choreographer, Lauren Hlubny.

It consists of half classical repertoire and half experimental contemporary music paired with solo movement. The contemporary music is excerpts from an upcoming dance-theatre-concerto “Thoughts & Prayers,” composed by Thomas Giles and created by Lauren Hlubny, both awesome Brooklyn artists. Details on the program will be released closer to the performance date.

Come get your Muse on and find out what these innovative artists are up to. Join me and my husband, Scott, Friday night July 19th. We open our door at 7pm and music will begin shortly after 7:30. Follow the link, sign yourself up and see you soon at Sounds and Movement on Seventeen.
