This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

Hello everyone! This will be our fourth Groupmuse and we hope you'll join us for an inter-holiday gathering in our Capitol Hill living room. As the days get shorter and colder we'll snuggle in and enjoy some lovely chamber music. Come sit on our floor, meet some other Groupmusers, and, if it's your first Groupmuse, check out this terrific musical community!

What's the music?

An Evening of Baroque Cello Music

Ricercari by Domenico Gabrieli and Giovanni Battista degli Antonii
Johann Sebastian Bach - Suite No. 3 for Solo Cello

Join me for an evening of baroque cello music performed on a historically informed instrument! I will start the evening with some of the very first solo cello music, written by virtuoso cellists in Bologna, Italy in the late 17th century. Then, I will move forward 30 years to perform Bach's Third Suite for Solo Cello, one of the crown jewels of the genre.
