 , a mini "Bach Revival": Felix Mendelssohn was the great champion of Bach'
 s music in the early Romantic period. In 1829\, he famously conducted the 
 then-obscure St. Matthew Passion. Mendelssohn absorbed Bach's towering cra
 ft and spirituality into his own music at the same time that he brought it
  newly to the public. \n\nCome on over!
