Whether it's the incessant radio jangle of Christmas music, the warmth and intimacy of a group of carolers wishing you a Holy Night, or the epic monument of Handel’s Messiah, music has always been central to how we welcome in the Holidays.

One of NYC’s most beloved choral ensembles — Voices of Ascension — has invited our community along for their very own blissful holiday welcoming in, and so it’s off the beautiful Church of the Ascension we go!

It’s a family friendly celebration — featuring the profession singers of Voices alongside one of the city’s top youth choruses.

The program is packed with joyous holiday favorites - Deck the Halls, Let it Snow, etc., but it’ll also feature the sublime and profound Trumpet Sonata in D Major by the great baroque master Henry Purcell, with Kevin Cobb on the brass. The bright, regal clarity of the trumpet just speaks to the spirit of the season, who can say exactly why.

The whole concert is short (under an hour and with no intermission) and sweet (cookie decorating follows the music and you’re all welcome!) and it’ll be a blast! So bring friends, bring family, bring your cheer and we’ll see you there!

We’ve got a terrific discount at $15/pop, but supplies are limited, so make your move!
