 Tin Yi Chelsea Wong\, an exuberant pianist with sensitive musicality and c
 haracter who brought a timeless prismatic program along with the wonderful
  Evan Kahn\, Sam Weiser and Andrew Friedman:\n\nO. Messiaen: Quatuor pour

 n Kahn\, cello\n\nG. Crumb: Makrokosmos II\n\nM. Ravel: Le Tombeau de Coup
 erin\n\nF. Schubert: Impromptu in C minor\, Op. 90 No. 1\n\n\n\n\nTin Yi C
 helsea Wong\nBorn (‘94) and raised in Hong Kong\, Tin Yi Wong (Chelsea) 
 has taken the stages of Wienersaal [Salzburg] and Isabella Gardner Museum 
 [Boston] on multiple occasions\, for performances that have included the D
 utilleux Sonata\, Anton Webern's Variations for piano\, and George Crumb's
  Makrokosmos II.\nAn active advocate of contemporary music\, Ms.Wong premi
 ered composer Ilya Demutsky's "Skomoroshina"\, a work commissioned through
  the SFCM Hoefer Prize\, choreographed and performed at SF Ballet\; she is
  also one of the original members of Mouthscape Choir from SFCM. The versa
 tile pianist is fluent in "free improvisation" and has appeared in the Bay
  Area through BeMusical\, has performed in GroupMuse concerts\, and has ho
 sted the Airbnb concert series "Piano Parlor". Focusing also on extended t
 echniques inside the piano\, she invented the Harmonic Capo to expand the 
 potential of the instrument. In her free time\, she enjoys collecting rare
  succulents\, board games\, and preparing a 20-person feast.\n\nAndrew Fri
 edman is a San Francisco-based clarinetist\, composer\, and educator devot
 ed to performing music new and old\, large and small. His freelance credit
 s include symphony\, ballet\, and opera institutions around the Bay Area a
 nd beyond\; he is also a frequent performer at the Hot Air Music Festival 
 and appears often on national tours with the Oakland-based classical/hip-h
 op fusion group Ensemble Mik Nawooj. Recorded appearances include on the F
 rom The Top radio program\, the soundtrack to Christopher Coppola’s 2017
  feature film Torch\, and Bay Area composer Taylor Joshua Rankin’s debut
