Classical guitar
About
I am a classical guitarist and guitar teacher whose passion for music began with my first instrument, the violin. Through my early fascination with classical music, I gradually discovered the guitar and its expressive possibilities.
I developed my musical knowledge through studies at several universities, where I attended on scholarship and gained valuable experience in concerts, performances, and teaching methods.
My artistic vision focuses on the great composers from Bach and Mozart to Bartók, exploring not only traditional guitar repertoire but also music originally written for other instruments.
I enjoy discovering how these works can be reimagined on the guitar, searching for new timbral colors and deeper musical meaning.
I am also open to exploring other musical styles, including contemporary music and jazz.
I perform on a Caldersmith lattice classical guitar and strive to draw from it a rich, resonant sound that approaches the depth and color of the piano.
Music
I discovered my passion for classical guitar through famous musical themes and variations written by guitar composers. Through these works, I explored the virtuosic guitar repertoire of the 18th and 19th centuries and began collecting and studying this music.
Soon after, I realized how fortunate we guitarists are to be able to play the music of Johann Sebastian Bach on our instrument. This discovery opened a new artistic path for me and eventually led me toward transcribing original piano works for guitar.
From this exploration, I developed the concept behind my repertoire. My musical approach is rooted in the European classical tradition, tracing a lineage from Bach through Mozart to the great guitar composers such as Tárrega, Barrios, and Roland Dyens.
At the same time, I enjoy working with the music of other great composers, including Satie, Ravel, and Bartók bringing their sound world to the guitar through interpretation and transcription.
