About
Ato Quartet is a New York City based string quartet composed of members that hail from countries around the world. As such, our taste in music is wide and varied but grounded in a love for the four voices of the string quartet. We've studied at Juilliard and Brooklyn College here in New York City, Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and University of Wisconsin at Madison. We honed our craft here in New York City as performers, in a variety of ensembles and as teaching artists, sharing our art with the next generation. Upcoming engagements include a residency with the international chorus, Coro Mundi, in the fall of 2026.
Music
We play a wide variety of music from the standard quartet repertoire to jazz, pop and new music.
