I am a bluesy, roots Americana musician from the hills of central California. Old-time blues, Americana, and Folk music are my volumes of truth. My original tunes shine a light on my life experiences as a mixed race Black woman similar to my ancestors with a jazzy, folk blues vibe. My elders are Nina Simone, Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, and traditional Black music and bluegrass. I breathe new life into old music from the early 1900s.

My newest single "Creepin Back In" was written with the help of my ancestors as a response to my experience of the influx of blatant racism in our country.

My first album The Rock the Roots the Lean On Me is now available on Spotify, apple music and all streaming platforms and can be purchased on vinyl or cd.

Music

I write original tunes often with the inspiration and support from my ancestors on the other side. I play an old acoustic guitar from the 1940's and play some covers from about that same time. Think Nina Simone, Memphis Minnie, Bessie Smith, Son House, Vera Hall and the likes.
