About

The Evelyn String Quartet is a NYC based ensemble formed in 2024 at the Juilliard School where its members discovered their shared passion for chamber music. Coming together from different corners of the world, their distinct experiences and cultural traditions blend to shape a sound that immerses audiences in a uniquely captivating atmosphere. The Evelyn String Quartet, formerly known as Ensemble Nerina, has performed across the US in various venues, including an appearance on Texas Public Radio as well as performances in Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall in 2024 and 2025.
In the Summer of 2025 the Quartet was on their first European tour, during which they performed over a dozen concerts through Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria.
Their performance in Neuenburg Germany was described as: “breathtaking“ (NWZ Newspaper). The quartet is looking forward to upcoming projects, including another performance at Carnegie Hall in April 2026.

Music

Evelyn String Quartet cultivates a diverse repertoire rooted in the traditional masterpieces of Haydn, Beethoven, and Brahms while radiating outward to celebrate lesser-known works and modern compositions. The quartet is looking forward to performing a world premier by German American composer Henryk Golden in their upcoming concert in Carnegie Hall.
