I’m Kobi Arad, a pianist, composer, and recording artist whose work explores the intersection of jazz, classical, improvisation, and global musical traditions. My music is rooted in creating a unique harmonic language that brings together diverse influences, from Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions to contemporary jazz and beyond.

I hold a doctorate in Contemporary Improvisation and Third Stream from New England Conservatory and have collaborated with acclaimed musicians across different genres. Through composition and performance, my goal is to create music that connects with people emotionally and brings different musical worlds into dialogue.

Music

I perform original music that blends jazz improvisation, contemporary composition, classical influences, and global traditions. My repertoire explores a wide range of textures — from solo piano improvisations inspired by the lineage of artists like Keith Jarrett, to ensemble works combining jazz harmony with Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Latin, and other cultural influences.

Whether performing solo or with a group, my focus is creation of a musical experience that balances spontaneity, structure, and emotional depth. My goal is to create a distinctive sound where different traditions meet through improvisation, rhythm, and composition.
