About

The Friends Duo is a violin and guitar duo based in New York City. Formed by David Duong and Noah Arcenas, the duo explores the space between classical chamber music and more contemporary influences, including tango, flamenco, and popular repertoire.

Noah Arcenas holds a Master's degree in Violin Performance from Indiana University, where he honed his craft under the guidance of world-class faculty. David Duong holds a Master's degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Texas at Austin. Together, they bring over a decade of individual performance experience to the ensemble. Both musicians are accomplished competitors, having earned recognition in numerous competitions throughout their careers.

Music

Our repertoire spans chamber music, tango, flamenco, film music, and popular arrangements. Drawing from the works of Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos, Rodrigo, Bach, Vivaldi, Debussy, and Ravel, alongside contemporary and popular works.
