About

Lily and Stephanie grew up playing music in Palo Alto and the Bay Area and recently rejoined forces as the Tsai Duo when Lily moved back to the Bay Area after a decade. While Lily was in Massachusetts, she often partnered with Music for Food to both share music and raise money to help local food pantries. The sisters participated in multiple seasons of Music@Menlo as Young Performers and were both members of the SF Symphony Youth Orchestra. They also won state-wide competitions as a duo and national competitions as soloists.

The sisters often collaborate with Ben-Han Sung, a pianist who has won 1st place at the L.A. International Liszt Competition and performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto with the Stanford Symphony. The group of three friends came together this past year to form Trio Suspiro and have performed across the Bay Area since.

Music

We usually play classical music, including everything from Bach to Kodaly and Ravel (and occasionally arrangements that we do ourselves of more popular music).
