Hailed by NBC News for his ability to, "...play the guitar like it was invented only to be in his hands," Tye Austin (age 30) is an international award-winning classical guitarist and composer currently based in Portland, OR and New York, NY. He has performed solo at Carnegie Hall, London's Royal Albert Hall, Birdland Jazz Club NYC, Rockwood Music Hall, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Britt Festival, and many other prestigious music venues. In October 2017, he performed solo for over 300 world leaders at the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan, NY. The following year he was invited to perform for the former Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, on the 73rd floor of the World Tower located on the UN Plaza in NYC. Tye was commissioned to arrange and perform 16th century French renaissance music for guitar and string quartet during the second season premiere of the Netflix Original Series, "Versailles" at the US French Embassy in NYC. In May 2019, Tye moved to Shanghai, China for a performance and teaching artist residency at the iSchool of Music-Shanghai. He's currently touring the Pacific Northwest before embarking on a six-month tour of the South Caribbean Islands as the Principal Classical Guitarist onboard Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line's Adventure of the Seas starting April 25, 2020.

Tye received his Master of Music Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, where he studied with Andres Segovia's last direct pupil Eliot Fisk. Tye furthered his classical guitar studies with Grammy-winner, Sharon Isbin at The Juilliard School in Manhattan.
