Come hear this colorful combination of oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone! This will be an exciting evening of Latinamerican works you do not want to miss! Traveling musically south to north across Latin America beginning in Argentina with Piazzolla, then we musically depict the longest bus ride in south america from Rio to LIma with Miguel del Aguila's "Transoceánica", followed by Peruvian composer Daniel Cueto's "Amaru", and Mexican composer Jose Elizondo's "Danzas Latinoamericanas". This will be only the second performance of Amaru, and the first reed quintet version of Transoceánica and Danzas Latinoamericanas!

Thank you all so much for listening last night, we had a fantastic evening and hope you did as well! If you would like to hear us again join us online this Friday at 7:30! We can be followed on facebook, instragram, and all our events can also be found on our website www.kalliopereedquintet.com/events

I'm particularly excited for our next concert, where we will play works from France, Latin America, and French works influenced by Latin America. We will have three brand new arrangements from members of the quintet including a trio by Poulenc, Jean Francaix's 5 Exotic Dances, Darius Milhaud's Scaramouche, and more exciting works from France and Latin America! http://grpm.us/z46ifg
