Please join me for an evening of solo violin music by Black American composers. Pieces by Jessie Montgomery, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Andre Myers, and Wynton Marsalis reflect influences ranging from Bach to the Blues. I've really enjoyed diving into this music, and can't wait to share it with you!

20% of the proceeds from this concert will benefit Castle of Our Skins, a Boston-based concert and educational series dedicated to celebrating Black artistry through music.

What's the music?

Jessie Montgomery, Rhapsody No. 1
Andre Myers, Courante from Partita for Solo Violin
Wynton Marsalis, Come Long Fiddler from String Quartet No. 1 "At the Octoroon Balls"
Andre Myers, Passepied from Partita for Solo Violin
