Great programming, great performance! It was particularly enlightening to experience the Enescu for the first time. Have you done his 3rd Violin Sonata?
Yannick R., about 3 years ago
Thank you Hugh! We actually both played the 3rd sonata but not yet together, it is definitely something we will do at some point since we both love Enescu’s music.

I last heard the Saint-Saens arr Ysaye in live concert in the early 1960s when, as a teenager, I attended a David Oistrakh recital in Pasadena, California. The famous American comedian and violin-lover Jack Benny was in the audience. I have always loved the piece, and as much as I am a pianophile, find it more effective in the violin transcription. I still have David Oistrakh's recording on Lp (vinyl for you young timers). You acquitted yourself well in the performance.
