Host

Welcome to A Night Out with The American Music Academy! We provide private music lessons for students of all ages, but we wanted to open our space to music lovers as well as music students. Come hang out, listen to some great music, and have a drink. We look forward to meeting you!

What's the music?

Keeheon Nam Clarinet
Chelsea de Souza Piano

Welcome to the return of in-person Groupmuses! I wanted to feature some clarinet/piano classics along with a brand new arrangement (quite literally hot off the press!) of a beautiful Clara Schumann piece originally for violin and piano. Gerald Finzi's quirky and amusing 5 Bagatelles is a staple of the clarinet recital repertoire and Brahms' epic f minor sonata wraps up the program. I hope to see you there for the return of live music in Houston!

Clara Schumann -- Three Romances for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 22 (arr. Max Opferkuch)

Gerald Finzi -- Five Bagatelles for Clarinet and Piano

--Short Break--

Johannes Brahms -- Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in f minor, Op. 120 No. 1
