Host

Hi All!

We're thrilled to announce the upcoming performance of Alicia Choi at our home! Alicia has reached out and has prepared a great program for us to enjoy on a cold winter's evening. Our home is probably best for older children, say 11 and up, and adults. If you'd like to bring your small children, please make sure they are closely supervised.

This is a Thursday night performance, so I know traffic can be an issue. Please feel free to reach out if you're delayed. My number is 619.991.1509. On the upside, parking is plentiful in the neighborhood, so you shouldn't have any issues with that. If you need accommodations for parking due to disability, please let me know. We have ramps for the door and can clear out our driveway, since our house is on a steep hill.

Due to the timing of this event, we'll be having some snacks for all guests to enjoy. Masking is encouraged when not actively eating, and vaccine status will be checked at the door.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to inquire about hosting a groupmuse, please reach out!

Cheers,
April

Inspirations of American Jazz and Musical Friendships

Full of strikingly rhythmic drive and blues, this program of violin-piano works explores how American and French composers were inspired by American jazz and musical friendships and includes William Bolcom’s Sonata no. 2, Maurice Ravel’s Sonata no. 2, and John Corigliano Sonata.
