Cuerda Duo! Fabulous cello and guitar concert plus drawing for dinner gift certificates!

I'm so excited to have you join us! Summer is a great time to enjoy excellent live music in Sellwood! Plus there will be a drawing at the end for 2 $50 restaurant gift certificates!

I am delighted to present the Cuerda Duo of Daniel Reyes Llinas on guitar and Dylan Rieck on cello. Enjoy an enchanting and wonderful evening with this celebrated pair! They'll play some classical pieces as well as original compositions. Talented, entertaining musicians and composers these two are sure to add to your summer fun! We'll enjoy their performance, with a chance to talk with the musicians about their careers, compositions, and music. All this and snacks in the historic Sellwood Smile Station in Sellwood, Portland Oregon.

About the musicians:
Cellist and composer Dylan Rieck is principal cellist for the Portland Opera orchestra. He has performed over 800 concerts in 15 countries globally. Dylan’s original compositions span a wide range of musical styles and convey a sense of exploration and urgency. He has taught cello and music theory lessons to students from elementary school through university levels. An avid collaborator, Dylan finds inspiration from working with artists in many fields to blend ideas into rich tapestries of new work.

Colombian Composer and Guitarist based in Portland, Oregon.
Daniel attended Universidad de los Andes, studying with Maestros Carlos Castilla, Carlos Rocca Lynn and Jaime Arias Obregon.
He has taken classes, masterclasses and workshops with Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, Jorge Caballero, Fernando Otero, Ion Marmarinos, Carlos Alomar, David Torn, Elliott Sharp, Trey Gunn, Robert Fripp and Nik Bartsch among many others.
Daniel has released several albums and his work has been featured in films in Australia, Europe and the United States. He has toured North America, South America and Europe.
His cycle of "études for solo guitar" was awarded RACC's Make/Learn/Build grant award in 2022.
