Hello All,
This one has been in the works for a while but traveling and conflicting schedules have been a bugbear. We're pleased to announce MandoBasso performing a summer program at our home. As the name suggests, MandoBasso is a band comprised of mandolin player Bill Bradbury and bassist Gunnar Biggs. Both Bill and Gunnar are music educators, and this will be their first Groupmuse event. If the weather cooperates, we will be setting up outside, but if it's too hot or cold, we will be indoors. The weather has been surprising us for the past couple of years, so I don't want to make us sit outside if we're going to be rained on or too hot and sticky.
In order to protect our most vulnerable community members, we ask that everyone be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination at the door. If you have a MEDICAL EXEMPTION for vaccination, please let us know before you register to this event. If you have a religious or personal reason for exemption, we kindly request you stay home. Masks are strongly encouraged, but no longer required, though we will have them available for all attendees.
Parking is plentiful in this neighborhood, but if you need special accommodations, or parking for an accessible vehicle, please let us know and we'll make the arrangements. There are shallow steps to get into the house, but we do have ramps if needed. Please let us know if there are any accommodations you may need.
This home is not child proof! Children above the age of 8 are welcome to attend, provided they will be supervised by a responsible adult.
We have a geriatric long haired cat, so please be advised if you have allergies. She is friendly but will probably keep to herself.
There will be light refreshments.

What's the music?
MandoBasso performs new compositions influenced by traditional, jazz, and classical music. They will present an exciting program of music for this unusual pairing of mandolin and acoustic bass. Gunnar Biggs (bass) comes from a background in classical music and jazz, Bill Bradbury (mandolin) from traditional music and contemporary composition. Both have been longtime music faculty and professional musicians in San Diego County. The program will be announced from the stage. Visit www.mandobasso.com for bios and music from the duo.
