Where does this music come from?
My program will feature the early works of Mozart, Chopin, and Schumann, exploring how these composers' early influences and styles influenced and developed their later works.
The centerpiece of this program is one of Schumann's early compositions Carnaval, a 21-movement piece representing various characters at a masked ball. The pieces are connected through a recurring four-note motif, like a musical cryptogram.
