We've teamed up with Boston legends A Far Cry to present their entire 2023-2024 season as Nights Out! You can purchase tickets to any one of their fantastic four concerts for a fraction of the original price, or grab a series bundle for an even better deal, and check out all the phenomenal programming they have to offer.

In their second concert of the season, they'll perform three works that evoke the sounds of the streets, all from their retrospective timelines.

Far Crier Sarah Darling remarks: "The street is a hugely vibrant part of life, especially for us living in the city. The action starts with the Monteverdi, where drama ensues from the main characters simply passing each other on the street. Before that Boccherini sets the mood, depicting beautiful sojourns to church, street singers, soldiers; all different walks of life are together in one work, evoking the bustling nightlife of 19th century Madrid. Tchaikovsky evokes similar feelings, complete with a balcony scene a la Romeo and Juliet in the second movement. Spend an evening of musical storytelling with A Far Cry around what can happen when you walk out your front door!"

After the concert is over, they'll be hosting a wine and dessert post-concert reception from 10-11pm, and food and drink is included with your concert admission.

More about A Far Cry:
Called a “world-wide phenomenon” by Boston’s WBUR, A Far Cry has nurtured a distinct approach to music-making since its founding in 2007. The self-conducted orchestra is a democracy in which decisions are made collectively and leadership rotates among the players (“Criers”). This structure has led to consistently thoughtful, innovative programming — and impactful collaborations with celebrated performers and composers. A Far Cry has risen to the top of Billboard’s Traditional Classical Chart, been named Boston’s best classical ensemble by The Improper Bostonian, and celebrated two Grammy nominations for its Visions and Variations. Boston Musical Intelligencer sums up the group: “This conductor-free ensemble has earned and sustained a reputation for top-drawer playing, engrossing programming, and outstanding guest artists.”

Groupmuse ticket buyers are instructed to pick up their tickets at will call just before the concert's start time. Groups wishing to sit together should purchase tickets under a single reservation, as seating is assigned.
