I am very excited to host pianist Amy Zanrosso and the Circadian String Quartet for a lively evening of beautiful chamber music. This concert will be exceptional, and I encourage you to reserve your place soon.

Music will start at 7:45PM. Please arrive at 7:30PM.

What's the music?

Shostakovich Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 57
Dvorak Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81

The Circadian String Quartet:
Monika Gruber, violin
David Ryther, violin
Omid Assadi, viola
David Wishnia, cello
Amy Zanrosso, piano

The piano quintet came into its own during the romantic era when composers, such as Schumann and Brahms, added virtuosic piano parts to the dominant chamber configuration of the time, the string quartet. The resulting ensemble was capable of roars, whispers and everything in between.

The Circadian String Quartet and Pianist, Amy Zanrosso will highlight two masterworks of the piano quintet genre: Dvorak’s beloved Piano Quintet in A major, Op. 81, and the multi–layered Piano Quintet, Op. 57, by Dimitri Shostakovich.
