This is a Groupmuse Night Out

Explore the wider world of music outside Groupmuse with exclusive discounts to local concerts.

We're teaming up with the legendary Young Concert Artists this spring to bring our Groupmuse community access to their incredible performances for less--way less.

Performing alongside collaborative partner, pianist Shawn Chang, award-winning mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner will perform a program of choice songs entitled Everything Must Change, which is a call to action as proclaimed through the music of Molly Joyce, Schubert, Caplet, Mahler, Radiohead, Bernard Ighner, an original work by Chang himself, and more.

Wagner remarks:
“Despite society’s attempts to move forward from a past marked by violence and hatred, division and injustice continue to thwart us. We see this reflected in political decisions that harm the people most in need of protection and aid, in the violation of human rights that occurs daily across the world, and in a general sense of hopelessness about what lies ahead for all of us. Through the music of Franz Schubert, Stefania Turkewich, Viktor Ullmann, Shawn Chang, Radiohead, and Benard Ighner, we explore our current state, divulge how we can overcome and transform, and depict what a better world could be like. The fundamental need for reformation could not be clearer or more pressing. Everything must change.”

Kid policy: While this concert is not specifically tailored to kids, Merkin Hall welcomes children who can sit through a classical music concert without creating a disturbance.

ADA requirements: Please email [email protected] with any wheelchair accessible seating needs.

Groupmuse ticket buyers are asked to pick up their tickets at the Merkin Hall Box Office in the few hours prior the show's start time. Seating will be assigned.
