Chameleon Arts Ensemble is opening their season on Saturday October 5th at the beautiful First Church of Boston and they've invited our Groupmuse community along for a Night Out!
We've only got 30 tickets available for this performance, and at a steal too! Only $15 (and less for Supermusers); a 50%+ discount.
On the program, interior passion meets exterior beauty in a program of poetic resonance, legacy, and memory. Earl Kim examines the passage of time and the nature of our existence through the arresting poetry of Samuel Beckett, and Kim’s teachers, Bloch and Schoenberg, share miniature twilight journeys of color and character. Composed in the final weeks of his life, Schubert’s Cello Quintet closes the circle on our exercises in living, remembering, and feeling.
Seating is first come first served. Groupmuse ticket buyers are instructed to pick up their tickets at Will Call.
What's the music?
Ernest Bloch | Three Nocturnes for violin, cello & piano (1924)
Arnold Schoenberg | Ein Stelldichein (A Rendezvous) for oboe, clarinet, violin, cello & piano
Earl Kim | Exercises en Route for soprano, flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, cello & 2 percussion
Franz Schubert | String Quintet in C Major, Op. 163, D. 956
