Welcome to Thalia House's first Groupmuse! Acclaimed pianist Andrei Andreev will take us on a tour of classical piano music through the centuries, including historical context, musical motifs to listen for, and fun anecdotes from the lives of the composers of the pieces he'll be playing for us. Doors open at 4pm, and the music starts at 4:30 (roughly 1hr including an intermission).
We're excited for this to be a cozy and intimate experience. We have a couch and some chairs, but expect for most folks to be sitting on the floor or cuddling in the pillow-filled cuddle zone. Please feel free to bring your own seating (e.g. a floor chair) if you'd like.
You can reserve your spot by paying $5 to Groupmuse; in-person, we'll collect an additional suggested contribution of $10-30 (cash or Venmo), which will go directly to the musician -- though please don't let that deter you, nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
What's the music?
