    Join your fellow Groupmusers for a Night Out at Music Before 1800's last concert of their 2024-25 season! We've got 20 tickets at 55% off to this fabulous program, featuring Juilliard415, an ensemble that Early Music America has proclaimed showcases "…a remarkable depth of artistry".

    Experience the fascinating blend of European classical masterpieces and indigenous South American traditions; a unique combination that was born during the mid 1800's when Jesuit missionaries brought the music of Corelli, Vivaldi, and Locatelli to the remote missions of Chiquitos in Bolivia.

    This special performance will feature authentic Baroque works from European masters like Corelli, Vivaldi, and Locatelli, as well as indigenous songs and dances from Peru, drawn from theCodex Martinez Compañón. Folk-influenced pieces by *Juan de Araujo** and Tomás de Torrejón will also be included.

    This is a rare opportunity to hear the unique fusion of cultural and musical exchange that took place in the Chiquitanía—a program that bridges the sacred and the folk, the European and the indigenous.
