🎶 Program (60–75 minutes + 10-minute intermission)
J. S. Bach — Toccata in E minor

An early Bach work designed to showcase a performer’s imagination and virtuosity. Its fugue theme is famously shared among several Italian composers, and its exact origin remains a delightful mystery.

L. van Beethoven — Sonata in E minor, Op. 90

A rare two-movement sonata marking the beginning of Beethoven’s Late Period. Notable for its expressive German tempo markings and its arrival five years after his previous sonata — an unusually long pause for Beethoven.

S. Rachmaninoff

Prelude Op. 23 No. 3 in D minor
A lesser-known gem, overshadowed by its more famous companions but full of depth and quiet drama.

Étude-Tableau Op. 33 No. 4 in D minor
A propulsive piece marked by inner voicing, urgency, and march-like energy.
