Host

Since its founding in 1998, 8Strings has been performing old and new works for Cello, Viola and Flute. They have worked with many living composers and hold a semi-annual composer competition. In addition to commissions, they perform original repertoire from the Baroque period and works by established composers from Europe and North and South America dating from the mid-19th through the end of the 20th centuries — a tremendous range in styles! It’s women’s history month and we are excited to present a program of excellent works by Claire Polin, Pamela Sklar, Zoe Yost and Isabella Leonarda, and maybe a sneak peek at a brand new work by Ingrid Stölzel.
